WHY?
WOMEN-CORE project concluded that support for women construction researchers was necessary because:
- Women account for only 19% of scientists & engineers in construction research (2005, Europe)
- Increasing need for researchers
- Women researchers would complement construction research & provide new perspectives for innovation
- This network aims to facilitate this
